superannuation rights. It is understood that the

Board will normally give such consent, requiring actual

payment only if and when confirmation of your

appointment in Hong Kong is refused by the Government

thereof or the probationary period is terminated by

death, disablement or other cause, the period thereby

failing to become pensionable under the Colonial Scheme.

(Any such contributions becoming payable will be

refunded by the Hong Kong Government except in so far

as they relate to a period in respect of which pension

or gratuity is payable by that Government).

3. If you are prepared to accept the appointment

on the conditions specified in the enclosed statement

you should present yourself at an early date to one

of the Consulting Physicians whose names are given

in the enclosed letter for the purpose of being

medically examined. The letter is to be left with

him and he will send his report direct to this

Department. You will be required to pay him a fee

of one guinea and a half. A medical history sheet
